Craven College students dazzled and delighted members of the public at a charity fashion show organised by Airedale Hospital and Community Charity, held at Skipton’s Town Hall.

Fashion and Textile students took to the catwalk to showcase their own amazing work at a recent charity fashion and shopping event, The Big TLC.

The Big TLC Fashion Show

First held in 2023 to celebrate the NHS turning 75, The Big TLC was billed as “an evening of fashion, fun and fundraising”, and provided an opportunity for independent businesses and Craven College’s fashion designers of the future to collaborate to recognise the amazing work of the NHS and to raise money to benefit those who use Airedale General Hospital’s services.

LauraLee Brennand, Lecturer in Art and Design commented, “We are absolutely honoured to present our students’ work as part of this truly amazing event and to support The Airedale NHS Foundation Trust in raising money for so many worthy causes. It is great to see so many groups of wonderful people from our community come together for the Big TLC. Big thanks to Laura Hepworth for inviting us to join in and for organising this fabulous fashion show.”

The Big TLC raised an amazing amount with over £700 going to the Emergency Department Appeal.

Community Fundraiser Laura Hepworth said, “It has been fantastic to see the success of this year’s event following on from the first one last year. Together we have raised over fantastic £700 for the Emergency Department Appeal.

“Thank you to everyone for coming to the event, supporting the event and of course Craven College, Boutique Ole, and their fabulous models. The evening was a complete triumph thanks to you.”

We were delighted to play our part in such a fun and successful evening!
