Screen Printing – Taster Day

This one-day workshop, suitable for beginners, will develop your artistic skills, giving you the ability to create your own design for photographic screen printing.
This interactive hands-on session introduces the basics of simple monochromatic mark-making into a printed art piece using photographic silk screens. Delivered in a calm and supportive learning environment, this session is suitable for beginners as well as those with some creative experience. You are encouraged to work creatively, take risks, and explore the unique qualities of screen printing.
What you’ll cover:
- Experimenting with a range of printing techniques
- Exploring mark‑making
- Investigating texture and layering
- Learn about the use of colour.
- Application of prints to material
At the end of the session, your range of prints will be available for you to take away with you.
Entry Requirements
No prior experience is necessary – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn a new skill.
Information
All materials required are included in the course fee.
For your safety and comfort, please bring:
- Closed-toe footwear
- Long hair tied back
- No valuable jewellery
- Optional: your own apron (aprons are also available to borrow)
- A drink and snack (there will be a breaks)
