GCSE ENGLISH & MATHS EXAMS 2026 – 2027

Please see below planned exam dates for the academic year 2026 – 2027. Please make sure when booking any holidays that they fall outside of the exam window. Non-attendance to an exam may incur the cost of the exam plus any admin fees.

What Exam Board do we use for GCSE English & Maths?

We use Eduqas at Craven College.

How many exam components are there for GCSE English?

There are two exam components. Component 1 is worth 40% and the exam is 1 hour 45 minutes. Component 2 is worth 60% and the exam is 2 hours.

How many exams are there for GCSE Maths?

There are two exams. Paper 1 is non-calculator, paper 2 is calculator and both exams are 2 hours 15 minutes.
