Discover the fundamentals of ceramics in this hands-on five-week course. Learn how to shape, decorate and finish your own clay pieces in a supportive studio environment.

This course provides an introduction to working with clay and basic ceramic techniques. You will learn how to create a variety of simple forms, including pinch pots, slab-built pieces and tiles, while developing confidence in handling and shaping clay.

You will also explore a range of decorative surface techniques to add pattern and texture to your work. As the course progresses, you will be introduced to underglaze and glazing methods, helping you to refine your pieces and achieve a finished result.
