Create a meaningful handmade gift and design your own ceramic love spoon inspired by tradition.

This creative workshop gives you the opportunity to design and make your own ceramic love spoon, perfect as a unique gift or a decorative piece for your home. Suitable for beginners, the session provides a relaxed and supportive environment to explore your creativity.

Inspired by the traditional Welsh love spoon, which symbolises love, friendship and connection, you will learn how to translate ideas into clay using hand-building techniques. You will design your own piece and personalise it with patterns, symbols or messages to create something truly individual.

By the end of the workshop, you will have created a meaningful ceramic keepsake that can be treasured or given as a gift.

What you’ll cover:

  • Introduction to ceramic hand-building techniques
  • Designing your own love spoon
  • Understanding the symbolism behind traditional love spoons
  • Shaping and refining clay
  • Adding decorative patterns, textures and details
  • Preparing your piece for firing
