Student Enjoys Work Experience Success
Art & Design student Lilly St. Julien has enjoyed the fruits of her hard work, by being offered a job following her work experience placement.
Lilly was successful in obtaining her work experience placement at Material Worth, a home décor and soft furnishings specialist in Haworth. Alongside their home furnishings department, Material Worth have been commissioned by various museums and private estates to collaborate on restoration projects, using bespoke fabrics, and made props and drapes for several television and film productions.
As part of her placement, Lilly was asked to help make the banners for an upcoming film entitled Night and Day about the suffrage movement and adapted from the Virginia Woolf novel of the same name. Staring Timothy Spall, Jennifer Saunders, Sally Phillips, Professor Brian Cox, Jack Whitehall, and Haley Bennett, Night and Day is currently in production.
Owners of Material Worth Gill Lightfoot and Catriona Frances said, “We are very pleased with Lilly. We think she will go far!
