Students Enjoy Trip to Start Year of Learning

Students from Digital & Creative Industries including Performing Arts, Media, Esports, and Computing & IT made a visit to the Science and Media Museum in Bradford as part of their College induction week giving them the opportunity to look around and get inspiration for upcoming projects.

The Science and Media Museum is dedicated to the science, history, and culture of image and sound technologies – including photography, film, television, animation, and gaming. Following extensive multi-million-pound upgrades for the Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, the museum features state-of-the-art galleries and facilities.

College students enjoyed the immersive learning experience within the permanent Wonderlab Gallery featuring 20 interactive exhibits exploring the physics of light and sound. The Sound and Vision project showcases rare objects from world-class collections spanning photography, television, animation, and gaming and the Retro Gaming Lounge where students explored classic games in the Power-Up gallery.

It allows students to bond with one another outside of the classroom, speak to students on different courses and enjoy an experience where they can all take part and have some fun!”
