Would designing your own website help your business? Learn the basics of website design and start creating your own online presence.
This course introduces you to the core principles of website design and is ideal if you want to understand how websites are planned, created and reviewed.
You will develop the knowledge and skills needed to design a simple website, learning how to structure content and add basic functionality. The course focuses on practical tasks, helping you gain confidence in planning, building and reviewing a website suitable for personal or business use.
By the end of the course, you will have created a simple website and developed an understanding of how to improve and develop your design further.
What you’ll cover:
- Planning and designing a simple website
- Creating a website using basic tools and techniques
- Adding functionality, navigation buttons and hyperlinks
- Reviewing your finished website
- Making suggestions for improvement and development
This course requires commitment for the full duration of the programme.
You will be expected to complete homework and independent study tasks outside of classroom sessions to support your learning and progression.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements. However, confidence in using a laptop is essential.
You will complete an initial assessment to assess your current skill level and ensure the course is suitable for you.
