Learn how to edit, refine and bring your footage to life using professional post-production software.

This course introduces the essential skills required for post-production in filmmaking, with a focus on editing, sound and visual effects. It is the ideal progression from the Introduction to Filmmaking course, or for anyone interested in learning how to turn raw footage into a polished final product.

Over the weeks, you will explore industry-standard software including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects and Audition. Through a combination of practical workshops and guided tasks, you will develop the skills needed to edit video, enhance sound and create professional-looking visual outcomes.

By the end of the course, you will have completed your own edited project and gained the confidence to continue developing your filmmaking practice.

What you’ll cover:

  • Introduction to post-production workflows
  • Editing techniques using Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Working with timelines, cuts and transitions
  • Adding and refining sound using Adobe Audition
  • Introduction to visual effects and motion graphics using After Effects
  • Colour correction and basic grading
  • Exporting and presenting your final project
