College Welcomes Guests to Breakfast
On Friday Careers Leads and Heads of Year from some of our feeder schools joined with members of the Senior Leadership Team and staff at a breakfast event.
This informative and interactive session focused on curriculum updates, new facilities, future developments, and student support whilst key staff members gave a brief introduction to their departments.
Guests joined us from Beckfoot School, Bowland High School, Carlton Keighley, Ermysted’s Grammar School, Ilkley Grammar School, Settle College, South Craven School, and Ss John Fisher and Thomas More Roman Catholic High School taking the opportunity to meet with key members of Craven College staff and network with their counterparts from other schools.
Following a delicious breakfast provided by the Craven College Catering Department guests had the chance to speak with members of the Students Services, SEND, and Careers Support Teams before embarking on a tour of our facilities.
Anita Lall, Principal and CEO of Craven College said in her welcome address, “Thank you for joining us today. We know the vital role you play in helping young people navigate their next steps, and we greatly value the partnership between schools and colleges in supporting students to make informed, ambitious choices about their futures.
“Learners are at the heart of all that we do so we want the absolute best for our students – we are ambitious for them and will support them to be the best they can be and achieve the highest grades possible. So, no matter the qualification, our continued focus is on helping every learner develop the skills, confidence and aspirations they need to succeed in further study, employment and life.”
Stephanie McKay, Head of Caring Professions added, “We have high-quality provision for the local community and for local schools. We have caring, passionate staff who are ready to share their expertise and amazing links with employers such as Airedale NHS Trust, meaning our students leave Craven College skilled up and employment ready.”
Sally Whitaker-Boucher, Deputy Head of Apprenticeships commended, “With excellent support and creating employment-focused learning programmes, our proven quality is displayed through our success rates.”
