Thursday 13th June saw Craven College’s Creative Industries Departments come together for their annual End of Year Show, this year entitled Memories in Motion

The End of Year Show is a celebration of students’ work from areas in Graphic Design, Photography, Fine Art, Illustration, 3D Design, Printmaking, Fashion & Textiles, Media Make-up, Media, Performing Arts, and more!

This year’s theme, Memories in Motion, centres around precious memories from Craven College students’ own lives and displays them in ways relating to their course as if watching their lives in movie motion.

This showcase represents the students’ hard work and vision over the last year and for some students will be the last opportunity to display their work before going off into employment or higher education.

The launch event was also an opportunity to recognise students’ successes throughout the year with the presentation of a range of awards. Students’ achievements were rewarded in areas from attendance to attainment, and commitment to learning to Student of the Year, and Craven College would like to congratulate all the prize-winners on their efforts.

Jemma Crozier, Head of Department for Art, Design, Style and Transitions, comments “As always, I eagerly look forward to the End of Year Show, one of the highlights of the year at Craven College. This fantastic event provides our students with the opportunity to showcase the incredible work they have been creating over the past year. I encourage everyone to come and see the talent that Craven College is renowned for cultivating.

I am immensely proud of our students and their accomplishments. They not only develop a broad range of specialised skills but also learn to collaborate effectively under the guidance of our expert staff. The work on display is thoughtful, thought-provoking, and exciting. I am thrilled to present their exceptional work to the public at the End of Year Show.”

Memories in Motion is housed within Craven College’s Ingleborough Building on the Aireville Campus in Skipton and is open to the public from 17th to 28th June. If you would like a tour please email events@craven-college.ac.uk

Applications for Art, Design, Style, Creative Industries, and Digital Technology are still open for this September. For more information on our courses, and how to apply, visit www.craven-college.ac.uk
