Media

Are you creative, love storytelling, and want to turn your passion into a career? Studying Media at Craven College is the perfect way to step into one of the UK’s most exciting and fast-moving industries. From film and TV to radio, advertising, journalism, and digital media, you’ll discover endless opportunities to explore your talents and build a future doing what you love.

As a media student, you’ll gain hands‑on experience in our fully equipped radio station, developing real broadcasting skills from day one. Last year, Craven College Radio hit the airwaves with its own student‑led radio show, allowing students to create, produce, and broadcast original content to a live audience. You will work on real projects that reflect industry practice, collaborating with writers, producers, journalists, designers, and directors to create content that informs, inspires, and entertains. You’ll also have the chance to showcase your work through live performances and at our annual End of Year Show, celebrating your creativity with a wider audience.

We’re proud to be part of Screen Yorkshire’s Connected Campus initiative, which links our students directly to film and TV professionals, production companies, and broadcasters. This means you’ll have unique access to bootcamps, masterclasses, set visits, and guest lectures from experts who know the industry inside out. You’ll graduate not only with a strong portfolio but also with the knowledge, experience, and confidence to stand out in this competitive sector.

Whether you see yourself as a filmmaker, journalist, content creator, or working in advertising or broadcasting, our Media courses will give you the tools to succeed.
