Students Hear from Guest Speaker

Published 29 October

Recently our Level 3 Year 2 Business students and Level 2 Public Services students were lucky enough to hear from our guest speaker Al Weldon.

Al Weldon ETHOS

Al Weldon is the Co-Founder of ETHOS – Empowering Growth, a people and business development company rooted in 25 years of leadership experience. They aim to bring together senior advisers, academics and experienced practitioners to work together to create solutions to deliver bespoke programmes designed to assess, support, and grow individuals, teams, and organisations.

Al has over 25 years of experience within the Royal Marines and delivered a fascinating insight to our Level 3 Business students to support their Management and Leadership examined unit whilst Public Services students listened intently to stories of military experience.

Jolie Whitwell, Lecturer in Business said, “We are really grateful to Al Weldon for sharing his inspiring journey of leadership within the Marines. His insights into emotional intelligence and resilience brought to life some of the essential skills at the heart of the Principles of Management Unit and left a lasting impact on the students.
