Business Administrator Apprenticeship

Business Administrators are invaluable because they underpin the effective flow of business systems and communications which enable an organisation to be responsive, informed and successful.

As a Business Administrator, you will have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors including small and large businesses alike; from the public, private and charitable sectors. Your role may involve working independently or as part of a team and you will develop, implement, maintain and improve administrative services. You will develop key skills and behaviours to support your own progression toward management responsibilities.

Supporting and engaging with different parts of the organisation and interacting with internal or external customers are all part of the role. You will add value by contributing to the efficiency of an organisation by supporting functional areas, working across teams and resolving issues as requested. The flexibility and responsiveness required will allow you to develop a wide range of skills.

In delivering your responsibilities efficiently and with integrity and showing a positive attitude, you will demonstrate strong communication skills (both written and verbal) and will adopt a proactive approach to developing skills. Showing initiative is key, along with managing priorities and your own time, problem-solving skills, decision-making and the potential for people management responsibilities through mentoring or coaching others.

As part of the Apprenticeship, you will have monthly workplace visits from a Learning Development Advisor, with 6 hours per week off the job training which will be tracked. You will build a portfolio showing your work-based evidence.
