College Student Paves the way for Neurodiverse Sport Fans
Published 11 January
Level 3 Travel & Tourism student, Matt Barrick, recently delivered a highly informative presentation on Autism to Craven College SENDCos and his fellow volunteers at York City Football club. The focus of the presentation was to start a discussion on how the club can implement strategies to make games more accessible for neurodiverse supporters.
Matt suggested strategies such as allowing neurodiverse supporters to watch the game from one of the boxes or selling ear defenders in the club shop for those who found loud environments overwhelming.
A 4-1 win for York City Football Club rounded off a very successful day for both Matt and the club!
