Enrolment will take place at Craven College, Aireville Campus, Gargrave Road, Skipton, BD23 1US

Please note: If you are an Aviation Academy student. Aviation Academy students will enrol at the Aviation Academy based at Leeds Bradford Airport.

Enrolment Sessions

At your enrolment session, you will have the opportunity to speak to tutors, support staff, and senior leaders to ensure you are happy with the decision you make regarding your programme of study. As your enrolment process could take about an hour, we suggest you arrive at least an hour before the end times stated below.

If you are an apprentice, our Apprenticeship team will contact you directly with further details about your enrolment. If you have not yet applied for an Apprenticeship please come to one of our enrolment sessions from the ‘New Student Enrolment’ dates below.

New Student Enrolment (School leavers)
  • Tuesday 20 August – 10:00am – 12:00noon (Foundation Learning students only)
  • Thursday 22 August – 9:00am – 7:00pm
  • Friday 23 August – 9:00am – 2.30pm
  • Tuesday 27 August – 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Wednesday 28 August – 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Thursday 29 August – 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Friday 30 August – 10:00am – 2:00pm
Degree Students

If you are enrolling on a Higher Education course (Foundation Degree, HNCs, Degrees) you will be able to enrol online from 15 August (You will be sent further information via email in July/August)

If you prefer to enrol in person please come to our Degree Enrolment Session on:

  • Thursday 05 September – 4:00pm – 6.00pm

Access to Higher Education

Access to HE enrolment will take place during

  • 22 August – 05 September

There is a dedicated Access to HE enrolment session on:

  • Thursday 05 September – 4:00pm – 6:00pm
Returning Students

Any current student who is progressing onto the next level of their course will be able to attend the following enrolment sessions:

Returning students who are NOT waiting for GCSE results:

  • Monday 19 August – 1:00pm – 4:00pm
  • Tuesday 20 August – 1:00pm – 4:00pm

Any returning students:

  • Thursday 22 August – 9:00am – 7:00pm
  • Friday 23 August – 9:00am – 2.30pm
  • Tuesday 27 August – 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Wednesday 28 August – 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Thursday 29 August – 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Friday 30 August – 10:00am – 2:00pm
Part-time Courses for Adults

Many part-time courses for adults can be enrolled online via our website. Specific courses will identify whether you need to enrol in person. In-person enrolment sessions for part-time courses will take place at Craven College Aireville Campus on:

  • Wednesday 28 August – 10:00am – 4:00pm
  • Thursday 05 September – 4:00pm – 6:00pm

Initial assessments for English and Maths adult students will take place on the dates above. These assessments are likely to last approx. 2 hours.

We will also be at community venues across the area where you can enrol and find out further information:

  • Monday 19 August – 9.30am-1.30pm, Highfield Centre
  • Monday 19 August – 1:00pm-3:00pm, Skipton Library
  • Tuesday 20 August- 11:00am-1.30pm, The Good Shepherd Centre, Keighley
  • Tuesday 20 August – 2:00pm-3.15pm, Boughton Road Community Centre 
  • Wednesday 21 August – 10.30am-12.30pm Keighley Library
  • Monday 02 September – 10.30am-12.30pm, Augment Space, Skipton

What you need to bring

When you attend enrolment, please ensure you bring:

  • Examination results slips/certificates – these must be your original certificates / results slips or an electronic copy
  • A form of ID – Acceptable forms of I.D are: National Insurance Card, Passport, Driving Licence, Bank Card, ID Card or other forms of national identification
  • If you require any exam support and would have received some at school, please make sure that bring along your evidence of your exam access with you. 
  • For students aged 19 and over – Please bring with you proof of income-related benefits, confirmation of Advanced Learner Loan, or if you are paying your fees, you will be required to bring a 20% course fee deposit. Where fees are to be paid wholly or in part by an employer/sponsor, confirmation in writing must be produced at enrolment

If you are a Degree Level student you will also need:

  • Your University/College Payment Advice from the Student Loans Company (you can download this page from your online account). If you are still waiting for this due to applying through Clearing, please upload that you have applied for student finance showing your name and customer reference number. (If Student Finance are paying your fees but you cannot provide proof, you will not be able to enrol.)
  • If you plan to pay your fees yourself a 20% deposit is required, and the remainder may be paid by Direct Debit. Please call the Customer Services Team on 01756 791 411 to make a card payment for your deposit or fees in full
  • Where fees are to be paid wholly or in part by an employer/sponsor, confirmation in writing must be produced at enrolment (upload confirmation of this on letter-headed paper, if enrolling online)
