Health & Social Care

Health & Social Care Virtual Tour

Our tutors have a wide range of Health and Social Care experience ranging from managing residential homes and home care services for people with learning difficulties to being a Ward Sister, working in Nurseries, Primary Schools, Secondary and Special Schools through to Social Services. Their backgrounds mean that they have a wealth of experience on which to base their teaching and your learning on areas such as social work skills, learning about emotional needs of children and adults, counselling and mental health in children and adults. They also have many contacts within the industry to help with work experience and share their expertise as guest speakers.

The Health and Social Care courses cover topics from the Human Life Span, Working in Health and Social Care and Care and Support Needs as well as the Theory of the Physical, Social and Emotional Development of People.

You will find a progression route to a rewarding career working in the Caring services or to go on to Degree level study in one of the Social Care professions, whether you study full-time or complete an Apprenticeship.
