If your ambition is to have a career as a Nurse, Paramedic, Midwife, Social/Mental Health Worker, a Learning Disability Carer or a Care Home Assistant then this course can provide you with the comprehensive knowledge you need for a Degree or to go straight into the Health Care industry.

Our tutors have a wide range of Health and Social Care experience ranging from managing Residential Homes and Homecare Services for people with learning difficulties to being a Ward Sister, to working in Nurseries, Primary Schools, Secondary and Special Schools through to Social Services. Their backgrounds mean that they have a wealth of experience on which to base their teaching and your learning. They also have many well-established contacts within the industry which is good in terms of work experience opportunities and excellent guest speakers.

Our Level 1 qualification allows you to study both Health & Social Care and Early Years & Childcare sectors, enabling you to decide which professional industry you prefer before progressing onto the Level 2 qualification

You will find a progression route to a rewarding career working in the caring services or go on to degree-level study in one of the social care professions.

Entry Requirements

  • Level 3 – 5 GCSEs grade 9-4 or equivalent including English, maths & science GCSEs grade 9-4 plus Clear Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
  • Level 2 – 4 GCSEs grade 9-3 or equivalent including English & maths GCSEs grade 9-3 plus Clear Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check
  • Level 1 – 3 GCSEs grade 9-1 including English & maths

Further Study
