At Craven College, you can choose to study full-time or start an Apprenticeship, gaining real-world experience while you learn. Many students begin with our Multi-Skills course, which introduces you to a range of construction trades before specialising in bricklaying in your second year. This gives you the chance to explore different pathways and find the one that suits you best.
You’ll train in our brand-new, spacious and well-ventilated workshop, equipped with industry-standard tools and machinery including large roller pan mixers, forklift trucks, and pallet trucks. This professional environment helps you develop the practical skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace.
Our tutors are expert craftspeople with years of experience in the construction sector, including work on large-scale projects and specialist heritage and conservation builds. You’ll also have the opportunity to take part in the prestigious CITB SkillBuild competition, showcasing your talent and gaining recognition in the industry.
