Students Jet Off on European Adventure!

Just before half term a group of Level 3 Aviation students left The Aviation Academy and flew out of Leeds Bradford Airport on a whistlestop two-night adventure to Copenhagen, Denmark enjoying the sights, culture, and tourist attractions, whilst gaining valuable experiences beyond the classroom.

Learners were treated to an unforgettable visit, stepping into pure luxury at the iconic Nimb Hotel. They experienced an exclusive guided tour of the jaw-dropping £4000 per night suite – everyone agreed this was simply in a league of its own. From opulent interiors to every detail carefully curated to perfection, this is what dream stays are made of – and it was such a wonderful experience for our students to be able to sample just a small hint of this level of hospitality.

A quick hop over to Malmo, for students to enjoy the vibrant and historic beauty of Folkets Park. Offering carousels and rides, a large playground, children’s theatre, terrarium, petting zoo, miniature golf, restaurants, cafes and changing entertainment programmes, the park is the oldest folk and amusement park in Sweden. Students also explored the historic Tivoli Gardens and of course visited the world-famous Little Mermaid (Den lille Havfrue) statue on the Langelinie Promenade – a must on any trip to Copenhagen!

The trip offered a firsthand look at international airport operations, world class hospitality at the Nimb hotel, exploring the historic Tivoli park, sightseeing in both cities, and crossing international borders, giving the students invaluable context as they prepare for their next steps in the aviation sector.”
