Train to be an electrician with Craven College and you will learn how to repair, install and maintain eletrical systems across a wide range of buildings and working environments.

There are different types of electricians: installation electrician – install power systems, lighting, fire protection, security and data networks in buildings; maintenance electrician – check electrical systems to make sure they’re working correctly and safely; electrotechnical panel builder – make and install control panels that operate electrical systems in buildings, like heating or alarms; machine repair and rewind electrician – fix and maintain electrical motors and transformers found in industrial equipment; highway systems electrician – install and maintain street lighting and traffic management systems.

Our tutors are specialist craftspeople and have many years’ experience in the Construction industry in both large and small businesses with specialisms in Heritage and Conservation work. You will have the opportunity to enter the prestigious CITB SkillBuild competition. All tools, equipment and materials are provided.
