Are you ready to recharge your batteries?! This is the starting point to train as an electrician and change your career or even start a new one!
This qualification provides the ideal introduction to those wanting a career as an electrician and will cover the essential skills needed to progress to City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Electrical Installation. It will cover a wide range of electrical installation skills including electrical theory and craft knowledge, and skills training needed to join the electrical industry. This is the first step to becoming a registered electrician.
Modules may include:
- Introduction to health and safety in construction
- Assembling 13amp switched sockets wired in ring final circuit
- Constructing PVC wiring systems
- Installing one way lighting circuits
- Installing two way lighting circuits
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course; you will need to pass an assessment for each unit to achieve the qualification.
Entry Requirements
- An interest in learning about electrical installation.
- No previous experience is required
Information
For your safety you will need to wear appropriate footwear/clothing for when you are doing practical tasks.
