Craven College’s Plastering department has been awarded Gold Grade in the prestigious Thistle Partnership Grading administered by British Gypsum.
Not only does this award entitle learners to a practical day where representatives visit the College to conduct a masterclass of training, but we also receive material support.
Steven Syers, Lecturer in Plastering said “It is important that College uses quality products for students to use in training for the industry, and this generous donation of materials by British Gypsum for students to use year on year saves the College thousands of pounds to spend on other items with the department”.
Martin Lofthouse, Head of Department of Construction & Engineering added, “We are delighted that we have been recognised by Thistle Partnership and achieved the Gold Grade. It shows the quality of our provision and is a credit to the expertise and dedication of our lecturers. We very much appreciate being able to use top quality materials which enhances the experience of our learners.”
