This qualification will give learners the knowledge and understanding of allergies, the causes and how to deal with reactions.
This course is designed for anyone involved in the manufacturing, preparing or serving of food.
This qualification consists of 2 mandatory units and 1 optional unit (o):
- Food labeling and packaging
- Understand allergens, allergies, intolerances
- Allergy awareness for those working in adult health and social care (o)
- Allergy awareness for those working in the service sector (o)
- Awareness of allergies in children and young people (o)
For each unit, a set of knowledge questions are issued as the formal assessment. Your tutor will provide feedback following the completion of each. All assessments must be completed and passed in order for you to successfully achieve the qualification.
