Students Take Part in BBC Event

Last week Year 1 Media students visited the University of Bradford to take part in the BBC Young Reporters Day.

The event gave young reporters the chance to meet and work with experts from the industry and hear about their experiences and advice. The lineup included actors, producers, journalists, influencers and more!

Hosted by BBC presenters Amber Sandhu and Martin Dougan, this annual event gives young people the chance to find out more about the creative and digital industry. Whilst experts from the BBC Early Careers team and professionals from the local creative scene were available to offer valuable advice and insights into the industry.

Ben Pearson, Lecturer in Creative Media said, “The students took part in a day focusing on their future. They received inspirational talks from people in the industry and took part in some exciting workshops that look at different avenues they could explore after College. This was a great day and inspired the students greatly.

Craven College students were delighted to make an appearance on Look North and can be seen in the episode broadcast on 6 February.
