College Students Put Through Their Paces!
Earlier this month, Sport and Uniformed Public Services students took on the Army Youth Challenge Day Careers Event at Strensall Barracks in York, proudly representing Craven College throughout the day.

Throughout the day the students tackled a range of activities including archery, airsoft range, sniper target practice, an obstacle course, a surveillance task, STEM challenge, and a command task; all designed to test and develop key employability skills such as communication, teamwork, and resilience.
The day concluded with an informative Army Careers presentation.

As always, the behaviour and attitude of our students were exemplary and they embraced the opportunity to engage with serving soldiers, gaining valuable insight into army life and potential career pathways.
Greg Aspin, Head of Department: Sport, Uniformed Protective Services & Business said, “With energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork, our students truly impressed – leading the way and showcasing the spirit of Craven College. Well done to all involved!”
Heather Marsden, Lecturer in Sport, Fitness, and Personal Training added “This was a fantastic opportunity for our learners to step out of their comfort zones and gain valuable experience. Well done to everyone involved — you represented us brilliantly!”
