Induction Day
(Dresscode is Smart Business Suit)
Level 4
- Tuesday 15 September 2026, 10:00am-2pm – Aviation Academy
- Wednesday 16 September 2026, 8:00am-5pm (approx.) – Off site – Skills Street Aviation Programme in Sheffield. (You may wear appropriate casual wear on this day)
Level 5
- Thursday 17 September 2026, 10:00am-2pm – Aviation Academy
Level 6
- Tuesday 15 September 2026, 10:00am-3pm – Aviation Academy
Pre-Entry Task
Level 4
For those who are studying the Aviation Management & Operations FdSc and Aviation Management & Operations (Pilot Studies) FdSc at Level 4 you will need to complete a pre-entry task over the summer to bring to induction.
Level 5 – No task
Level 6
For those who are studying the Air Transport Management BA (Hons) at Level 6 you will need to complete a pre-entry task over the summer to bring to induction.
Car Parking
Car parking permit is £28 for the card then £12 per month.
Trips & visits
- Proposed day trip to IWM Duxford – approx. cost £60-70.
- There is a proposed 2/3-night visit to the Airbus manufacturing site in Toulouse, France – approx. cost £700, payable in instalments.
Disclosure Scotland
Once you know you have a conditional offer for a course at The Aviation Academy, you will need to apply for a Disclosure Scotland.
Without a Disclosure, you will not be allowed to enrol on your chosen course, so it is imperative that you apply as soon as possible.

HARVARD REFERENCING
An ability to reference researched material is a key Higher Level Skill.
At Craven College, we use the University of Hull Harvard Referencing System. Don’t worry, we will teach you how to do this but we recommend that you browse the following website before starting on your Course.
Microsoft Teams
When you start your course you will be given access to a Course and HE Student Team. If you are unfamiliar with Teams here are some videos to familiarise yourself.
