The purpose of this qualification is to develop learners knowledge and understanding of how to administer, store, dispose of and process medicines safely and provides learners with an understanding of medication and prescriptions, This qualification is intended to prepare learners in this subject area and to prepare them for further learning or training.

You will study:

  • Understand medication and prescriptions
  • Supply, storage and disposal of medication
  • Understand the requirements for the safe administration of medication
  • Record-keeping and audit processes for medication

For each unit, a set of knowledge questions are issued as the formal assessment.
Your tutor will provide feedback following the completion of each. All assessments must be completed and passed in order for you to successfully achieve the qualification.
