This qualification is designed to increase learners awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges and its effects. By completing the qualification, learners will develop in-depth knowledge of behaviour that challenges which could support progression onto other appropriate qualifications and into relevant employment.
Although useful to those working in the care sector, there are no specific recommended prior learning requirements for this qualification.
You will study…
- Understand how to manage a situation when an individual is acting in a challenging manner
- Understand how to prepare to manage an incident of behaviour that challenges
- Understand how to recognise that an individual’s behaviour has the potential to intensify
- Understand legislation and support relevant to behaviour that challenges
- Understand own role in providing support following an incident of challenging behaviour
For each unit, a set of knowledge questions are issued as the formal assessment. Your tutor will provide feedback following the completion of each. All assessments must be completed and passed in order for you to successfully achieve the qualification.
