Create your own festive decoration to enjoy year after year. In this relaxed, creative workshop, you’ll design and make a beautiful rag wreath, or choose to craft a decorative garland instead.
In this hands-on workshop, you will learn how to create a Christmas rag wreath using a variety of fabrics, textures, and colours. Guided step-by-step, you’ll explore simple but effective techniques to knot, layer, and build your design.
You can choose to make either a traditional wreath or a festive garland, perfect for decorating your home during the Christmas season. By the end of the session, you’ll take home a finished piece along with the skills to continue creating your own decorations using recycled fabrics or unwanted clothing.
What you’ll learn:
- Introduction to rag wreath and garland making techniques
- Selecting and combining fabrics for colour and texture
- Cutting and preparing fabric strips
- Knotting and layering methods
- Building structure and shape
- Creative design and finishing touches
Entry Requirements
No prior experience is necessary – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn a new skill.
Information
- All materials required to create your wreath or garland are included in the course fee.
- There will be a short break – please bring your own drink and snack.
