The film is in the can, you now need to edit it! Throughout this course we will look at editing skills and terminology and how to use these techniques in Premiere Pro 2025.
This course builds upon the Filmmaking – Introduction course. You will explore post-production techniques, skills, and advancements in Premiere Pro CC 2025. If you didn’t study on the Introduction to Filmmaking course, then you will need to provide some footage that you can edit on this course.
As with every production, there will be reshoots! Therefore, we will go over basic camera, lighting and sound recording skills to ensure your production is at the highest standard it can be. The course will also explore sound technology, how to record and mix sound, both live and in a studio. Lastly, you will have a greater understanding of editing software and how to effectively edit with the Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
You should complete the course feeling confident and comfortable with using camera equipment in manual mode, know how to do a basic lighting set-up for a shot, record excellent sound and have an intermediate understanding of Premiere Pro CC 2025 and some other post-production apps in Creative Cloud.
This course is a mixture of practical workshops, theory-based classroom activities, discussion and critical/constructive feedback.
By the end of the course, you should have a completed visual product that they can take away to put in their showreel.
