Do you want to be part of the fitness revolution? This Level 3 Personal Training qualification is the perfect step to a new career, learning new skills and enhancing your knowledge and practical skills.
The qualification will enable you to become a qualified Personal Trainer, ready to make a positive contribution to the workplace and to the health and well-being of a broad range of clients with different needs, in different types of environments. This qualification is mapped to the CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity) Personal Trainer Professional Standard.
You will learn the knowledge, understanding and practical skills needed to work as a Personal Trainer alongside developing skills and knowledge in a range of areas relevant to the role. This will include understanding health and safety in a fitness environment, anatomy and physiology, nutrition, marketing and business planning, as well as personal training programming and delivering personal training sessions.
The six mandatory units you will study are:
- Applied anatomy and physiology for activity, health and fitness
- Client motivation and lifestyle management
- Programming personal training sessions
- Delivering personal training sessions
- Nutrition to support a physical activity programme
- Business acumen for personal trainers
This qualification is designed for those who want to work as a Personal Trainer in the Sport and Active Leisure sector but are not currently in the role.
Entry Requirements
You must have achieved a suitable Level 2 Fitness or Gym Instructing qualification before enrolling onto this qualification.
Careers
Achievement of this qualification will open up opportunities of employment or being self-employed as a Personal Trainer.
