Delivered in a calm and supportive learning environment, this session is suitable for beginners as well as those with some creative experience. Students are encouraged to work creatively, take risks, and explore the unique experience of working with ceramics, where each piece is a one‑off result. Guided by expert tutors through each step of the process, the supportive teaching will give you new skills and the confidence to explore further.
What you will cover:
- The basics of working with ceramics
- Creating forms through pinch pots
- Insights into working with clay
- A taster of working with surface patterns
Entry Requirements
No prior experience is necessary – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn a new skill.
Information
All materials required to make your Pinch Pot Mugs are included in the course fee.
For your safety and comfort, please bring:
- Closed-toe footwear
- Long hair tied back
- No valuable jewellery
- Optional: your own apron (aprons are also available to borrow)
- There will be a short break – please bring your own drink and snack
