Landscape Drawing & Painting

Develop drawing and painting skills using landscape as the subject matter. Weather permitting, we will work outside on campus and in the classroom.
Looking at the landscape, you will explore different media – pencil, charcoal, pastel and paint. You will also be taught perspective and colour values through landscape.
The course will cover
- Basic principles of drawing and painting – scale, proportion, tone, colour, perspective
- Using a variety of media – pencil, charcoal, pastel andpaints
- Mark-making techniques – hatching and crosshatching methods
- The work of historical and contemporary landscape artists

All materials and equipment are provided by Craven College and included in the course fees
