Everything you wanted to know about making movies and surviving as a struggling filmmaker.
This course is designed to implement the basic knowledge of filmmaking, from understanding the importance and essentials of pre-production to filming, editing, and creating a visual product.
The course will help you to achieve understanding of digital cameras, how to effectively use camera accessories such as tripods, jibs, lighting, and steady cams. The course will also explore sound technology, how to record and mix sound both live and in a studio. Lastly, you will have a greater understanding of editing software and how to effectively edit with the Adobe Creative Cloud apps.
This course is a mixture of practical workshops, theory-based classroom activities, discussion and critical/constructive feedback and a shoot of your own planning.
By the end of the course you will have a completed visual product that you can take away to put in to you own showreel. You should complete the course feeling confident and comfortable with using camera equipment in manual mode, know how to do a basic lighting set-up for a shot, record excellent sound and have a basic understanding of editing in Premiere Pro.
