Fashion Show & Exhibition
‘The Body is My Canvas’ Fashion Show and Exhibition explore the human form as a dynamic medium for artistic expression.
This collaborative project unites the creative talents of Craven College’s Fashion & Textiles and Media Make-up departments, showcasing their ability to transform the body into a living canvas that embodies bold and imaginative visions.
This event seeks to provoke thought, evoke emotion, and redefine the relationship between art, make-up, fashion, and the human form.
Students have immersed themselves in the visionary works of renowned artists and designers, sparking inspiration for their own innovative concepts. Fashion and Textiles students have skillfully explored a range of techniques, including painting, printmaking, embroidery, draping, and pattern cutting, to create striking, bold designs that transform the human body into a vibrant canvas for creative expression. Meanwhile, Media Make-up students have pushed boundaries with avant-garde makeup techniques, intricate body art, expert airbrushing, and imaginative hair styling, culminating in breathtaking, fully realised looks that captivate and inspire.

The Exhibition will run from the 14 November – 22 November (Please check the Craven Arts Website for their opening hours).

Accessibility
The venue is fully accessible with a ramp from the car park to the back entrance way.
Parking
All visitors to the event and the exhibition are encouraged to park in the main car park at the back of Skipton Town Hall. Car parking at Craven Arts is limited, and priority is given to those with access requirements. There is also limited parking available on Main Street.
Refreshments
Refreshments are available for the Fashion Show.
Do I need to arrive by a certain time?
Please arrive between 5:30pm – 5:40pm for the Fashion Show in readiness for the start at 5:45pm.

Do I need to book?
As there is limited space available for the Fashion Show, we ask that you book on to this event via the booking form.
The Exhibition doesn’t require booking, but please check Craven Arts opening times and dates.
