This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the electrical industry, combining practical skills with essential theory. Suitable for beginners, it is designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to progress towards a career in electrical installation or carry out basic work safely at home.
Delivered in a well-equipped workshop by experienced tutors, the course offers a supportive learning environment where you will develop practical skills alongside an understanding of electrical principles. On successful completion, you will achieve a recognised qualification to support your progression within the construction sector.
What you’ll cover
- Safe electrical working practices
- Health and safety within the construction industry
- Basic electrical theory
- Simple wiring circuits
- Introduction to tools and materials used in electrical work
Assessment is ongoing throughout the course. You will need to pass the assessment for each unit in order to achieve the qualification.
Entry Requirements
No prior experience is necessary – just enthusiasm and a willingness to learn a new skill.

All materials required for the course are included in the course fee.
For your safety and comfort, please bring:
- Sturdy closed-toe footwear

- A drink and snack (there will be a break)
