Considering a future working with children? Let this course be your first step into the Early Years sector.
This course will give you a basic knowledge and understanding of working with children aged 0 to 8 years in a range of early years and education settings. You will also develop core skills that can help increase your confidence and improve your chances of employment or further study.
Throughout the course, you will explore key aspects of early years practice, focusing on children’s development, wellbeing and safe care. You will gain an understanding of how to support children through appropriate play, communication and teamwork, while learning how to create a safe and positive environment.
On successful completion of the programme, you will achieve two qualifications that support progression within the early years sector.

This course requires commitment for the full duration of the programme.
You will be expected to complete homework and independent study tasks outside of taught sessions to support your learning and progression.

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. You will complete an initial assessment to ensure you are enrolled on the correct level for your ability.

- Level 2 Award in Support Work in Schools and Colleges
- Level 2 Diploma for the Early Years Practitioner
- Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning

- Self-employment as a childminder
This course provides a supportive introduction to working with children and a strong foundation for further study or employment in early years and education settings.
