Experimental printmaking using collage materials and line drawing.

Printmaking covers a variety of methods. These include Block or Relief printing to Intaglio printing techniques. Drypoint is an intaglio printmaking technique where an image is created by scratching lines into a metal plate with a sharp tool. Collagraph is a versatile printmaking technique where materials are glued or sealed to a plate, creating a textured surface that can be inked and printed.

The course will

  • Teach you the basic principles of drypoint printmaking and collagraph printmaking methods
  • Develop your understanding of printmaking processes using these experimental methods
  • Introduce you to artists who work with printmaking
