Build confidence using computers, the internet, and email for everyday life.
This introductory course is designed for beginners who want to develop basic digital skills for everyday use. It focuses on building confidence in using computers, accessing the internet, and communicating online in a supportive and practical environment.
Learners will follow simple, step-by-step activities with clear guidance and support. The course links digital skills to real-life situations such as sending emails, searching for information, staying safe online, and completing everyday online tasks.
Commitment to the full duration of the course is required. It is expected that students will practice their digital skills outside of the classroom.
Entry Requirements
- No previous digital skills required
- Basic reading and writing skills recommended
- A willingness to learn and practise new skills
Further Study
After completing this course, learners may progress to:
- Entry Level Functional Skills ICT / Digital Skills qualifications
- Further beginner or intermediate digital skills courses (e.g. Word processing, spreadsheets, online applications)
- Employability or job search courses
