To mark the UK’s first ever national Supported Internship Day on Monday 27 March, Craven College is raising awareness of the Supported Internships programme it offers.

National Supported Internship Day has been launched by DFN Project SEARCH to raise awareness of the positive impact that a supported internship can have, not only on the interns who take part but on the employer and wider society too.

Craven College offers Supported Internships and is for those who are aged between 16-24 years old with special educational needs and disabilities, who have an education, health and care plan (EHCP).

The scheme gives the opportunity to those people to secure an unpaid internship over 12 months to develop their skills to better prepare them to secure paid employment.

Craven College has already had success with securing Supported Internship students within a number of placements across our local region.

If you know of someone who would benefit from our Supported Internship programme then get in touch! Further details about the scheme and how to apply.
