Craven College Television (CCTV) successfully launched its morning programme this week. The programme CCTV Breakfast was live streamed onto the College’s YouTube channel and shown on the Three Peaks Bistro big screen based on the Aireville campus in Skipton.

The programme was inspired by ITV’s popular daytime show ‘This Morning’ and sought to appeal to college students, featuring packages on the bistro and local delights for dinner time, work experience opportunities around the college, and the heritage railway of Bolton Embsay Railway.

The programme was produced by Craven College student Peter Johnson and saw a complete redesign of the set. The Year 2 Media students also worked in conjunction with the Performing Arts department and was hosted by Performing Arts students Lily Chapman and Jessica Fullerton.

This is hopefully the first of many. We are looking to stream such programmes more frequently. I am keen to continue this multidisciplinary practice, and ensure departments are working in conjunction with one other as it offers students a realistic working environment and helps prepare them for working life or higher education.
