If you’re caring, patient, and passionate about working with children, a full-time Childcare course or Childcare Apprenticeship at Craven College is the perfect first step towards a rewarding career in early years education.

Whether you want to work in a nursery, primary school, SEN setting, hospital, or even a neonatal unit, our courses will give you the essential skills to support children’s learning, development, and wellbeing.

You’ll gain real-world experience through a guaranteed childcare placement, sourced by us. Each year, we arrange over 150 placements across areas including Skipton, Bradford, Leeds, Shipley, and Clitheroe, thanks to our strong industry links and expert tutors.

Our Childcare & Early Years courses are designed for students who are great communicators and genuinely interested in child development. You’ll build confidence and learn key topics such as childhood studies, play and creativity, children’s mental health, safeguarding, nutritional awareness, allergy management.

Led by tutors with extensive experience in early years education, you’ll be supported every step of the way. By the end of your course, you’ll be ready to progress into employment or continue your studies with one of our Degree-level courses.
