Take your tastebuds on a journey around the world. Discover bold flavours and street food favourites while learning practical cooking skills in a hands-on environment.

World Flavours and Street Food is a vibrant, hands-on course exploring global cuisines and the dishes enjoyed on street corners across the world. Street food reflects culture, tradition and creativity, offering an insight into how communities have cooked and eaten for generations.
Over five weeks, you will explore a range of international dishes, learning key techniques and flavour combinations that define each cuisine. Working in a practical kitchen environment, you will build confidence in cooking while experimenting with new ingredients and flavours.

  • Mexican Medley – Explore vibrant Mexican flavours, using herbs, spices and chilli to create bold and exciting dishes.
  • Thai Cuisine – Discover the balance of sweet, sour, salty, bitter and umami in a range of well-known Thai dishes.
  • European Street Food – Learn how simple ingredients are transformed through traditional techniques across Europe.
  • American Classics – Explore the diverse influences behind American street food and its bold, generous flavours.
  • African Flavours – Delve into the rich and varied cuisines of Africa, shaped by cultural fusion and regional ingredients.

This course is suitable for beginners and more confident home cooks, with a focus on enjoyment, creativity and developing practical skills.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements are needed, just a willingness to try new things.
This course is suitable for complete beginners and more confident home cooks alike.

Information

Practical sessions will take place each week in a professional training kitchen.

Please bring:

  • An apron
  • Containers to take home dishes you prepare
  • Your own drink and snack if required
