Develop your understanding of safeguarding and the Prevent Duty, and learn how to support individuals safely in a range of settings.
This qualification is designed to help you develop knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and the Prevent Duty, including the importance of online safety.
You will explore how safeguarding applies in environments where you have a duty of care and learn how to recognise risks, respond appropriately and support individuals effectively. The course provides essential knowledge for anyone working, or planning to work, in education, health, social care or community-based roles.
Studying online gives you the flexibility to learn at a time and pace that suits your work or home commitments, while still receiving structured support from experienced tutors.
What you’ll cover:
- Understanding the Prevent Duty
- Understanding safeguarding
- Understanding online safety
For each unit, you will complete a set of knowledge-based questions as part of the formal assessment. Your tutor will provide feedback after each unit. All assessments must be completed and passed to successfully achieve the qualification.
Entry Requirements
Level 1 or equivalent English language and Maths qualification required.
