Develop the skills, confidence and understanding needed to become an effective and supportive mentor.

This qualification is designed for you if you want to gain a deeper understanding of the role of a mentor and develop the skills needed to support, guide and motivate others effectively.

Throughout the course, you will explore what it means to be a mentor, how to prepare for the role and how to apply mentoring skills and techniques in real-life situations. The course is delivered online, giving you the flexibility to study at a time and pace that suits your work or home commitments.

What you’ll cover:

You will study three units:

  • The role of a mentor
  • Preparing for the role of a mentor
  • Demonstrating mentoring skills and techniques

For each unit, you will complete a set of knowledge-based questions as part of the formal assessment. Your tutor will provide feedback after each unit, and all assessments must be successfully completed to achieve the qualification.

Entry Requirements

You will need a Level 1 or equivalent English language qualification to enrol on this course.
