This qualification will develop your knowledge and understanding to gain a better understanding of how to care for children and young people. It is designed for learners wishing to progress to a wide range of further learning and job roles such as nursery staff, teachers, health/social workers across health and social care, children and young people, nursing, public services and education and training.
During this course you will study:
- Safeguarding the welfare of children and young people
- Understand how play forms part of a child’s development
- Use food and nutrition information to plan a healthy diet
- Understand how to use play to support early learning and development
For each unit, a set of knowledge questions are issued as the formal assessment. Your tutor will provide feedback following the completion of each. All assessments must be completed and passed in order for you to successfully achieve the qualification.
Entry Requirements
- You will need to be 19 or above to complete the qualification
- Level 1 or equivalent in an English language qualification
