Curious about how forensic evidence helps solve crimes? Explore the science behind investigations and the courtroom.

This introductory course provides an engaging insight into the role of forensic science within criminal investigations. You will explore how evidence is gathered at a crime scene, analysed using scientific techniques, and presented within the criminal justice system.

Through discussion, case studies and real-world examples, you will develop an understanding of how forensic science and forensic psychology contribute to solving crimes. You will also consider the strengths and limitations of forensic evidence within an adversarial legal system.

By the end of the course, you will have gained a foundation of knowledge in forensic processes and an appreciation of how they are applied in practice.
