The purpose of this qualification is to develop learners knowledge and understanding in the area of falls prevention, particularly in the context of health and social care. It is designed for those working or looking to work with individuals at risk of falling.

This qualification is aimed at anyone working in a healthcare or social care environment, particularly those that support, or have contact with, older people who have an increased propensity to falls.

  • Best practice and legislation relating to falls
  • Causes of falls
  • Impacts, consequences and costs of falls
  • Preventing falls

For each unit, a set of knowledge questions are issued as the formal assessment. Your tutor will provide feedback following the completion of each. All assessments must be completed and passed in order for you to successfully achieve the qualification.
