Digital Skills are more important than ever – for work and life.

Understanding digital technology is vital to stay connected in work, access everyday services and communicate with family and friends. This course will help you to use technology for everyday purposes and you will learn about the following:

  • Being safe and responsible online and on digital devices
  • Using digital devices and handling information
  • Creating and editing
  • Digital communication
  • Shopping online

During this course you will work towards two qualifications:

  • Entry 3 Award in Progression
  • Entry 3 Essential Digital Skills

Commitment to attendance of each class for the full duration of the course is required.  It is expected that students will complete homework outside of the classroom.

Information

Free to those with no prior Digital Skills qualification

It is beneficial for students to be able to apply foundation skills such as turning on a device, connecting to Wi-Fi, be able to use the controls on the device and also be able to interact with the home screen. However, you will have an initial assessment to ensure that you are on the correct course.
